Clearly I have severely slacked on this blog thing. But since 2013 was such an incredible l year I want to do it justice.
Picking up after our trip home in July for the Whitworth wedding---
When we moved to Baltimore one of the things we wanted to do first was make a trip to Boston. It's been on Whit's bucket list to visit. With his birthday in August it was the perfect time, especially since the Red Sox were playing at home. We had a blast and adored every part of that city...well in the summer, that is.
Brunch for the birthday boy |
I won't bore you with all the photos of the Freedom Trail---but definitely worth it if you make the trip to Boston. Miles of walking along the most historic sites of our country. |
Harvard walking tour---beautiful campus |
Outside of Matt Damon's dorm room at Harvard |
Harvard dining hall---definitely not the dining halls we had in college |
The superstitious rubbing of John Harvard's foot |
Some of Whit's many oysters during the trip---he was in heaven |
I stuck to the lobster rolls---yummm!! |

One of our stops along the way---the Freedom Trail took us all the way outside the city along the harbor |
USS Constitution |
Ahoy Mates! |
More Oysters for Whit---only now at the oldest restaurant in the country, Union Oyster House |
Got to sit in the Kennedy booth at Union Oyster House |
Loved every minute by the water |
Amazing seats at the Red Sox game |
Check this off the bucket list! |
Harpoon Brewery |
Italian dinner in the North End---we could've eaten at every restaurant there and Whit doesn't even like Italian that much |
Mikes's Pastry---longest line I've ever waited in for dessert |
Boston---you won us over. We'll be back! |
