JenJen loves her crab!

Over Labor Day weekend we had some of our favorite visitors---the Whitworth's and Dulin's. JenJen and Granddaddy have traveled all over the place but had never visited Baltimore. We had a great time and JenJen definitely enjoyed crab at every meal :)

JenJen wanted to see the oldest Methodist church in the country
We made sure we were on the water as much as possible---here we took a water taxi all around the Inner Harbor to show them the city
What's a trip to Baltimore without a stop in the McCormick store?!
We hopped on a cruise in the Annapolis harbor---took us all around the Naval academy too. The homes were beautiful and I think we each picked one out for retirement.
It was nice to be able to show Susan and David something outside of Baltimore they had never seen---a perfect day in Annapolis!
3 of the best men I know doing what they do best---waiting for the women to stop shopping. Annapolis has some of the cutest shops around the main square.
JenJen and Granddaddy treated us to a nice steak dinner at The Milton Inn
More eating!! We had been hearing about this place since we moved here---and wish we had tried it sooner. One of the best breakfast spots we've ever been to. I think JenJen is still talking about the meal we had :)
Oh, and it was also the start of the college football season---hallelujah! (but I'm in the wrong shade of orange according to this family)
Documenting some of the meals---of course containing CRAB!

David showing Whit a thing or two about our new grill---definitely some of the best ribs I've had!
And JenJen of course made herself at home in the sun room working on the baby blanket for Case
Thanks for coming to visit!

Bean Town

Clearly I have severely slacked on this blog thing. But since 2013 was such an incredible l year I want to do it justice.

Picking up after our trip home in July for the Whitworth wedding---

When we moved to Baltimore one of the things we wanted to do first was make a trip to Boston. It's been on Whit's bucket list to visit. With his birthday in August it was the perfect time, especially since the Red Sox were playing at home. We had a blast and adored every part of that city...well in the summer, that is.

Brunch for the birthday boy

I won't bore you with all the photos of the Freedom Trail---but definitely worth it if you make the trip to Boston. Miles of walking along the most historic sites of our country.
Harvard walking tour---beautiful campus
Outside of Matt Damon's dorm room at Harvard
Harvard dining hall---definitely not the dining halls we had in college
The superstitious rubbing of John Harvard's foot
Some of Whit's many oysters during the trip---he was in heaven
I stuck to the lobster rolls---yummm!!
One of our stops along the way---the Freedom Trail took us all the way outside the city along the harbor
USS Constitution
Ahoy Mates!
More Oysters for Whit---only now at the oldest restaurant in the country, Union Oyster House
Got to sit in the Kennedy booth at Union Oyster House
Loved every minute by the water
Amazing seats at the Red Sox game
Check this off the bucket list!
Harpoon Brewery
Italian dinner in the North End---we could've eaten at every restaurant there and Whit doesn't even like Italian that much
Mikes's Pastry---longest line I've ever waited in for dessert
Boston---you won us over. We'll be back!
