Angie comes to visit

We love that Angie always makes a point to come visit us so we were thrilled to have her come to the East Coast. We spent 4 days showing her around and hope she'll come back for another visit someday.

First stop- White House. We were quickly asked to leave the area as what we suspect was the President coming or going for the White House Correspondence dinner.

In front of our nations capital.
Two peas in a pod
Perfect weather for walking all the way down the mall - walked 11 miles this day.
Half way to the Washington Monument
Stumbled upon food trucks on the way for lunch.
I think we know who enjoyed it the most
Food exhibit in the Smithsonian Museum
We'd all be in trouble if this was real :)
Made it to the Washington Monument - clearly under construction
A little rest stop during our trek
Almost to what we wanted to see the most
We made it to the Lincoln Memorial
A very moving memorial and crowds of people trying to get close
From right outside the Lincoln Memorial - looking back down the mall
Enjoying the park outside the Vietnam Memorial
Stopped in Georgetown for dinner and a quick stop at Serendipity for Angie and Whit's first frozen hot chocolate
In the harbor of Annapolis
Happened to be the same weekend as the boat show too!!
Angie and I spent her last day here shopping around Fell's Point and grabbing lunch on the harbor. Can't wait until she comes back and we can show her more. Now she knows what a real crab cake tastes like :)
